I have established Satori Health Centre Leuven, a psychology group practice focussed on serving the international and expatriate community in Belgium and beyond through both in-person and online psychotherapy sessions.
The practice consists of Clinical Psychologists, a Counselling Psychologist and Counsellors that have either lived, or are currently living as an expatriate. We have a deepened understanding of the unique challenges that expatriates are confronted with, specifically also the need to receive mental health assistance in a language that you feel comfortable in. At the Leuven practice you can be assisted in either English, Dutch, Cantonese or Afrikaans.
Our Psychologists & Counsellors share a variety of interests within the broader field of psychotherapy and can assist with adjustment related difficulties, mood and anxiety related complaints, relationship/couple and family problems, perinatal mental health and trauma. All our Psychologists & Counsellors are also experienced in working with international students and their unique challenges, as well as academia.

The Leuven practice is also an accredited internship site for the Masters degree in Counselling Psychology of Yorkville University in Canada. We currently have an intern counsellor practicing online from Kenia where she lives as a Canadian expat, as well as an intern (also a Canadian expat) at the Leuven practice. Our interns offer counselling at reduced rates.

I am a South African Clinical Psychologist who has been living as an expat in Belgium since 2017. I practice psychotherapy from a systemic approach and am experienced in individual therapy, relationship and family therapy, treating depression, anxiety and other psychiatric complaints, as well as relationship/marital difficulties, divorce guidance and blended families. In South Africa I gained experience in working with different cultures and cultural experiences, including expat life and consequent challenges, such as being a third culture kid or a trailing spouse and other challenges in adjusting in your new environment. My services are offerend in English and Afrikaans.
